After allegations of sexual harassment the suspended weightlifting coach Ramesh Malhotra has hit back at Sydney Olympics Bronze medallist Karnam Malleswari.
The tainted coach has launched a counter-attack by hinting that Malleswari may have been involved in doping.
On Saturday the suspension decision came after the Sports Ministry asked SAI to suspend Malhotra, who had been with the team for 15 years.
Malleswari had, in an exclusive chat with NewsX, said that a coach was guilty of sexually harassing young weightlifters.
She had not named anyone, but the hint was clearly towards Malhotra.
The IWF has formed a three-member probe committee to look into the allegations leveled against Malhotra and the report will be out in a week.
Malhotra was in line for a Dronacharya award but it seems that all that will remain unfulfilled now.
Malleswari, also an IWF vice-president, said that the coach had been sexually harassing junior lifters for over a decade now.
