The movie revolves around of the life of the Saint and all the miracles that happend in Shirdi while he was alive and how he 's revered and loved by devotees all over.

Maalik Ek is a movie on Shirdi Sai Baba and stars Jackie Shroff. The film is directed by Deepak Balraj Vij and the music is scored by Anup Jalota who incidentally also has a small role in the film.

The movie revolves around of the life of the Saint and all the miracles that happend in Shirdi while he was alive and how he continues to be reverred and loved by devotees all over.

We have seen movies and television serials on Sai Baba earlier but this one is a little different. The movie lends a very carefree image to Sai Baba's character. Besides, as it shuttles back and forth in time, it just looks like a hotch potch of different miracles strewn together through the narrative of Smriti Irani. There is no consistency in the plot and the movement in time and space has also not been treated with precision. And people will only watch the film because of the love, respect and faith they already have in Sai Baba as the director fails miserably in building up the awe factor for the Saint in any effective manner.

Jackie Shroff looks different but I am not even sure if he was the right choice for the role. It is just Shroff's image and body language that seems like a complete mismatch to the character he plays.
