After a blockbuster debut, Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na, director Abbas Tyrewala is back with Jhootha Hi Sahi and this time not alone but with his wife Pakhi who plays the lead in this film. Jhootha hi Sahi  stars John Abraham and a host of other actors. Expect some past magic of Jaane Tu from this film, some boring and some very interesting chunks and a hatke love story.

Abbas Tyrewala’s forte lies in his ability to express friendship and camaraderie in the most beautiful and endearing fashion. Whether it was the six friends in Jaane Tu or the pack six in Jhootha Hi Sahi, some of the most memorable scenes in both the films take place between them. The other noticeable part about the film is its humour. Sometimes crass, most times simple, the silly jokes in Jhootha Hi Sahi certainly make you laugh. There are some moments you will truly enjoy such as the part where Mishka comes for the first time to Sid’s shop or parts where Aaliya’s boyfriend tries different techniques to propose her.

The movie drags a little in bits and pieces especially where the hero and heroine are getting to know each other. There are also some glaring loopholes. You constantly wonder why the Mishka cant make out that both Fidato and Sid sound similar. Why is there only once that Fidato gets a call from a potential suicide victim in between his night long calls with Mishka over months.  And just how come Siddarth sings just fine with Mishka around and cant stop stammering on most other occasions.
 
But loopholes apart, the film is enjoyable and funny with some great performances. Pakhi, the new comer is brilliant. John too essays his role well. Raghu, Alishka all dole out some fantastic performances. Much like Jaane Tu, the simplicity of this film is its biggest asset.
