Lalit Modi's lawyer Mehmood Abdi said that Modi has challenged the committee's order on August 11 this year.

Suspended IPL chairman Lalit Modi has filed a fresh petition against the disciplinary committee formed by the BCCI to look into the alleged financial irregularities committed by him.

Modi's lawyer Mehmood Abdi said that Modi has challenged the committee's order on August 11 this year.

The suspended IPL chief had earlier taken exception to the formation of the committee saying that two of its members were biased against him and they should not be part of the committee.

However, the committee on August 11 rejected this argument and continued the proceedings.

Against this, Modi has moved the High Court, Abdi said. He also said that Modi has sought a stay to the proceedings in the meanwhile. The High Court would hear Modi's petition on September 13.

Earlier too, Modi had challenged formation of the body in the High Court on same grounds, but the Court had disposed off his petition asking him to make the same argument before the committee itself.
