In the latest development on the Bihar policemen abduction, a resolution to the crisis now appears to be in sight.
The wife of abducted SI Abhay Yadav reportedly met Naxal leader Kishenji, and has been assured of safe release of her husband and two others. A video footage also showed her tieing a Rakhi on Kishenji's wrist.
Kishenji reportedly said that the cops are being released on pleas from the families.
Maoists promise safe release of Bihar cops
Earlier after an all-party meet, the Bihar chief minister assured a safe passage to the surrounded naxlas.
The Maoists abducted four policemen last Sunday from the Lakhisarai district. They killed constable Lucas Thete on Thursday
On Saturday, the state government had also announced the arrest of two senior Maoist leaders. Pintoo Da and Bahadur Yadav, who reportedly confessed to their involvement in the Kajara Hill encounter.
The security forces have widened their search operations in the state. Government officials say that 200 more security men and two helicopters are helping the search.
