Hrithik to gain 10kgs for 'Agneepath'

Bollywood star Hrithik Roshan is trying to gain 10kgs for the remake of the 1990 film 'Agneepath'. The film is being produced by Karan Johar and Priyanka Chopra is playing the romantic lead opposite Hrithik.

Hrithik Roshan is working hard to gain 10kgs to step into the shoes of Vijay Dinanath Chauhan for 'Agneepath' remake.

But unlike his wheelchair-bound role in 'Guzaarish' in which he had a potbelly, the actor will have to work hard to gain weight for the character, popularized by Amitabh Bachchan.

Hrithik will be following a very strict diet which includes high-protein nutrients such as egg whites, protein shakes and multivitamins avoiding high calories foods.

Hrithik will be losing the unwanted fat first and then start to gain weight. He is all set to go from 72 kg to 82-84 kg. His current weight is 78.5 kg.

"There are only a couple of bare bodied portions in the action sequences, but it will be a very muscular look for which he's training two hours a day. Even though he'll be wearing full-sleeved shirts, his overpowering presence will be very evident," says Hrithik's trainer Satyajit Chaurasia.

The new remake of the 1990 film is being produced by Karan Johar and directed by his former assistant Karan Malhotra. Priyanka Chopra is playing the romantic lead opposite Hrithik while Sanjay Dutt will step into the shoes of Danny Denzongpa to play the bad man.

The original film was directed by Mukul Anand and produced by Yash Johar. Despite its popularity today, the film did not do commercially well at the time of the release.
